Interesting video, but something raised my eyebrow. The high position of the iphone app doesn’t necessarily mean that more sporty people use iphone than android. Maybe they do, but app use to record an event for Strava doesn’t necessarily reflect general phone choice. It’s also possible that people who use android are also more likely to use gadgets like a dedicated head unit instead of a phone app.

Going to need evidence to support your final conjecture. It's actually a lot more likely that iPhone owners have more disposable income for dedicated cycling computers than Android phone users.

Hi, thanks for this info. I'm curious how you learned to use the Strava API / what tools you used? Can you point me to a video or article on how you learned?

The Strava API Reference Guide is up on Github (first result shown when Googling for it). I then wrote my own tools using a combination of bash scripts.... and maybe perl... it was a while back I worked on them.

Really like to see comparison with new Bryden - 30 hour battery life? Good functionality at fraction of price?

It would be nice to see a "market share" on running events/segments.
